Is Cosmetic dentistry useful?



Now-a-days all age group people are having dental issues and these are of many kinds they may be temporary or permanent. Cosmetic dentistry is not only your smile but also about the teeth, gums, size, structure and their physical appearance. The appearance of teeth can be changed by using many techniques.
Dental Bonding
Bonding is a technique where tooth colored resin is applied to the teeth with a special light. Dental bonding improves person’s smile. It is easiest and cheap cosmetic dental procedure. Bonding can repair cracked teeth, closed gaps, chipped teeth and can also change the shape of the teeth.
Veneers
Veneers are thin wafers that cover the front surface of the teeth. It changes the color, size and shape as it is bonded to the teeth. They provide a conservative approach compared to crowns by changing tooth’s color or shape. This process is not reversible.
Crowns
Tooth-shaped “cap” which is placed over broken or damaged teeth to improve its physical appearance, shape, strength is called crown. Most of the crowns last from 5 to 15 years based on the material which it is made. Materials used are ceramic, resin, metal, porcelain fused with metal. Before the crown is placed, the teeth should be filed down, and then the crown is tightly fixed over it.

Enamel Shaping
To improve the appearance of the teeth Enamel Shaping or Contouring is a quick and painless process. Usually small imperfections are corrected using Enamel Shaping like slightly overcrowded teeth or uneven teeth. Enamel Shaping is combined with Veneers, Whitening or Bonding. Results are shown perfectly and immediately. 
Orthodontics (Braces)
Braces can help to improve the health and appearance of anyone’s smile by correcting the crooked or misaligned teeth. These work by applying constant or steady pressure on the teeth to slowly move the teeth to its correct place. As the teeth moves, the teeth change the shape as pressure is applied. Metal braces and invisible braces can be used.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth Whitening system is available in toothpastes, rinses, whitening agents from a dentist. But most of us don’t know that whitening isn’t for everyone. It's for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and gums. People with yellow tone on their teeth respond best for Teeth Whitening.
Composite Fillings
Sometimes the natural fillings will be replaced with the composite fillings due to clipping and cracking. Many people replace their silver amalgam fillings with natural, tooth-colored composites. Silver fillings will not wear out sooner when compared to the composite fillings in larger cavities. Composite fillings hold in small cavities also.
Gum Reshaping
Gum reshaping is done for people whose gum lines are uneven and if tooth are short, it improves the appearance of teeth and gums. Small amount of gum tissue is removed to expose more of teeth. This procedure can be done to one or several teeth to even the gum line and to expose a natural and bright smile.
Bridges (fixed partial dentures)
One or more teeth are replaced by bridges by placing crowns on the teeth on either sides and artificial teeth are attached to them.  Cantilever bridge and Maryland bonded bridges are used.
Smile Makeovers
Dental techniques are used to achieve a bright smile. Crowns and Veneers are used to correct crooked teeth, an uneven gum line, and other chipped dentistry.  Cosmetic dentists can make a major difference in a person's smile and overall oral health. The work must be done carefully and properly and costly productions will worth it at the end after your smile becomes bright and healthy.
